Materials

This section of the site presents a range of supplementary materials for both Digital Multimedia and Digital Media Tools, available for free download. A full set of slides in a range of formats is available under DMM Key Points. These are intended for instructors to use in lectures based on Digital Multimedia and for private study. The other pages provide a wide range of sample images, animations, sounds and video clips with associated exercises for use in practical work based on either book. All of these materials are copyright, and are provided for private or college-based study only.

If you intend to use the sample materials provided here as the basis for practical work, please read the important notice on RSI and safe working.

If you have any difficulty downloading the media samples - for instance, files displaying in the browser as garbled text, or sounds playing in the browser instead of being saved to disk - make sure that your browser is configured to download files of the relevant types to disk. Details of how this is done vary between browsers. Generally, ctl-clicking (Mac) or right-clicking (Windows) on the link will allow you to choose to download to disk. If you are not sure, you will need to consult a local expert.
