The 2nd edition of Digital Multimedia was published in February 2004. It is a major revision of the 1st edition of this foundation text for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in multimedia. It covers basic principles of each media type - text, graphics, audio, animation and video - describing their digitization and progressing onto issues that arise when media are combined with interactivity and distributed over networks. The 2nd edition is printed in full colour throughout, with an improved and more easily navigable layout.
